Meet the Administrator

I have nearly twenty years of experience in education. I spent the last ten years managing 1,200 students across Missouri in small learning communities. I trained community directors, educators, and parents to lead their children to success. It became very demanding, and our family yearned for a slower pace more connected to our local community. We purchased our farm 4 years ago and have enjoyed every minute of the hard work to transform a neglected piece of land into our dream home.

This past year, I taught a small class of sophomores in a program that partners with Southeastern University. My students completed Biology, Western Civilization I & II, and Latin for college credit. I also taught an elementary writing class through an enrichment program. I recently started working part-time for MU Extension in Buchanan County, where I get to teach and continue with positive youth development.

It has long been my daughter's dream to be a teacher like Anne of Green Gables or Jo March. It has been a dream of mine to offer a schoolhouse experience with hands-on learning where every child can confidently approach education. I have extensive experience with trauma-informed care and love to reach into the heart of a child to help them become the very best version of themselves. I subscribe to Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), which is a therapeutic model that trains caregivers to provide support and treatment for at-risk children.
